We have finally arrived. I initially had the idea to create this project back in 2014.
In those 4 years I went on to grow as an artist and do other projects.
Fast forward, I began recording this project in March 2017 and finished in September 2017.
I knew I wanted to make a project paying homage to DJ Premier, but I wanted to do it differently.
The beats I picked, the approach I took, and execution I wanted to be unlike anyone else who took a similar venture to this.

When you look at the artwork, what I’m wearing, the painting, and vinyls around me it becomes incredibly clear that I’m a bonafide fan and student of Premier.
Not some “rapper” merely using his name for some clicks. It becomes super clear especially when you listen to “How It Started”.

This project revolves around 4 main topics

1) Paying homage to DJ Premier.
2) Spitting that shit.
3) Telling introspective stories on life challenges I dealt with & surmounted.
4) Crime, school closings, racial profiling & gentrification in Philadelphia.

When you press play, you should not only get I’m influenced by Preem, but a sense of who I am and what I stand for.
